These terms and conditions will apply to all transactions placed online with ContinentalRider.com. Please read carefully before placing any order. All contracts shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law and any dispute between us will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in these terms and conditions will be deemed to affect your statutory rights.

By using this site you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

We may from time to time amend our Terms and Conditions, pricing, product information or any other details on our website.  The terms that will apply to you will be those posted on our website on the day you place your order.

Orders

We are pleased to accept orders online via PayPal. If PayPal refuses to authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay and / or non-delivery of your order.

The web price includes VAT at 20%.

Security and Privacy

Privacy issues are important to us at ContinentalRider.com and we are committed to protecting your privacy.

When you are creating an account or ordering online, we want you to be confident that your purchases are made securely.

When you create an account or place an order with us, we need to know your title, name, known address, contact telephone numbers and email address, along with order and payment details.

These details may be forwarded securely to othe parties only to fulfil your order.  These other parties will include delivery, and where relevant, payment partners.

The information we collect and store about you allows us to process and fulfil any order requirements, to provide you with information to keep you up to date on products, services or promotions we may run, to answer your enquiries and to verify your identity if needed.  We may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes by email, phone or mail.  You can 'opt out' of this at anytime either by writing or emailing us.

If you do register or subscribe to any online newsletters, you do so on the understanding that you are aware of the intended purpose for the collection of data.  An opt out option is available by clicking on the unsubscribe link in any newsletters we may send you.

All information is collected lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

Financial information, including credit card details

This information is used to obtain payment for goods and services you have ordered from us.  This information is never actually received by us.  The page where this information is given by you is controlled by our contract merchant service provider, PayPal.  Such information is automatically encrypted and later decrypted for use.  It never appears on our system.

You will know your payment is secure as your browser address box will show either a 'padlock' or a 'key' symbol.

Information volunteered by you

For a particular purpose, for example, a survey or contest entry form.  This information will be used exclusively for the purpose for which you have provided it.  Information is disclosed to third parties only where the third pary concerned qualifies in whatever way the website page requires.  We will make absolutely clear on the face of the page, any intention to publicise the name of a winner of any competitions we may, from time to time, run.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored in your web browser from our website.  Our website cookies do not collect any personal information about you, nor do they allow us to access your computer in any way.

We use tracking cookies to identify which of our website pages are being used.  This enables us to analyse web page views and improve our website.  This information is only used for statistical analysis and no personal information is stored.

You can chose to accept or decline cookies, but you should note that declining can adversely affect the performance our our website.

Delivery Policy

All our deliveries are to the UK.  

We aim to dispatch your order within 2 working days and deliver from 2 working days up to 10 working days depending on the item and availability.

Orders are shipped via a secure courier delivery company.

Delivery Charges:

For orders under £75.00 - Postage is charged based on weight of order and cost will be shown in your basket - for 2 to 5 day delivery. Please note certain items may take a little longer but we will inform you if that is going to be the case.

Orders over £75.00 - FREE 2 to 5 day delivery. Please note certain items may take a little longer but we will inform you if that is going to be the case.

We can deliver to Eire, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man,the Scottish Highlands and the Scottish Isles, but these areas will incur a delivery surcharge.  If you are ordering from Ireland or any of the postcodes below, please email us for postage costs prior to placing your order.

AB30-38, AB41-56, IM1 - IM9 (And other Isle of Man codes), IV1-20, IV25-28, IV30-37, IV40, IV52-54, IV63, FK19-21, KW1-3, KW5-10, PA21-40, PH30-41, PH49-50.  Islands: affected postcodes - BT, JE, GY, IM, HS1-9, IV41-56, KA27-28, KW15-17, PA20, PA41-49, PA62-76, PH42-44, ZE1-3.  Please note we cannot guarantee next day delivery to these postcodes.

For all deliveries, except Letter Post and Small parcels, please ensure there is someone at the address to accept delivery.

All goods are subject to availability.  We are unable to guarantee availability from stock for all our products.  We generally hold stock of most items but on occasions stock may not be available due to circumstances beyond our control.  If an item is 'out of stock' it will be flagged up to you during the order process, please contact us for expected delivery dates.

In the event that we are unable to supply your goods within thirty days, we will inform you and advise you of the expected delivery date. Outstanding orders/items can be cancelled at any time.

Should your delivery arrive short of any items on the pack note or are not the correct items ordered by you, you must notify us within 7 days of receipt of your order.

If we receive no such notification, you will be deemed to have accepted the items as satisfactory.

We cannot be held liable for any consequential loss caused by late delivery or failure to deliver by the company's appointed carrier.

Returns

In the unlikely event you receive your item and it is damaged, we will refund or send you a replacement item, after we have received and assessed the item.  It must be returned at your cost.  If it is found that the item(s) have been damaged deliberately, we are unable to offer a replacement or refund.

If we do not receive notifcation, you will be deemed to have accepted the items as satisfactory.

We want you to be entirely satisfied with your purchase and we are proud of our range and of the advice we offer.  If, however, your order proves unsuitable, it may be returned for a refund, credit or exchange if returned to us within 7 days of receipt.  Returns are subject to the following conditions.

  • Items should be returned to us carriage paid.
  • Items are received in a saleable condition.
  • Items must be unused and in their original condition to obtain a refund.
  • Items must be in their original, supplied packaging and in good condition.  We reserve the right to charge for replacement packaging if it is damaged or defaced.
  • All returns are to be sent with the sender's name and address, account number, order reference number, invoice number and the reason for the return.

Please help us to help you by supplying this information.

When returning items, we cannot accept liability for undelivered parcels.  Please retain your proof of postage etc as you may need this if you have to claim from your carrier.

Products, prices and content

Whilst every effort is made to ensure the pictures and colours depicted on the site match as closely as possible those of the actual product, due to technical limitations, some colours may vary.

All prices are shown in pound sterling (£) and are inclusive of UK VAT at the current rate unless clearly stated.

Prices, product descriptions and specifications are checked to the best of our ability, and whilst every effort has been made to make them accurate, no responsibility will be accepted for errors and omissions.

Any information displayed on our web site or other printed matter by the company is not regarded to be authoritative or certified as the best practice and is only considered to be useful supplementary advice to other certified codes of practice. All information on our web site is updated regularly.

We reserve the right to alter our prices and specifications without notice.

In any claim against us, our liabilty is limited to the value of the goods you have purchasd in the contract which is the subject of the dispute.

Ownership of goods

All items supplied to the customer remain the property of ContinentalRider.com until final payment of all sums owing in respect of those goods has been received in full by us.

Force Majeure

ContinentalRider.com accepts no liability in respect of failure to supply or other interruptions caused by matters beyond the reasonable control of the company, including but without limitation, strikes, lockouts, civil disputes, acts of God, war or actions by third parties.
